Steve Deffossez
As the Vice President of Clinical Integration at the Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association (MHA), Steve’s responsibilities include strategic leadership, education and policy initiatives which facilitate MHA members’ transitions in meeting key health delivery reform imperatives at the federal and state levels, with a focus on physician relationships. In particular, Steve leads MHA’s Physician/Hospital Integration Collaborative (PHIC) and the Physician Leadership Council (PLC), coordinating efforts with MHA staff on related technical and policy matters. Steve contributes the physician perspective, selecting MHA goals related to clinical issues, including quality of care, patient safety, public health information and health information technology. Ron Galloway is an author and filmmaker, and is president of Method Research, an institutional research firm. He researches the disruptive and unintended effects of new technologies in finance and healthcare. He has keynoted nearly all the state hospital associations. He is a graduate of Georgia Tech, and a former investment research analyst for Smith Barney. Ateev Mehrotra
Ateev Mehrotra, M.D., MPH is an associate professor in the Department of Healthcare Policy at Harvard Medical School and a hospitalist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.Ateev’s research focuses on interventions to to decrease costs and improve quality of care. Much of his work has focused on innovations in delivery. He is also interested in the role of consumerism and whether price transparency and public reporting of quality can impact patient decision making. Shari Robbins
Shari has spent the last 17 years assisting clients to achieve their health care operational goals via process improvement initiatives. She has performed studies in virtually every hospital department with a focus on physician practices, emergency department, and health information management. Her technical contribution can range from management span of control, executive coaching, labor productivity assessments, and comprehensive project management support. The crux of any project is having a plan. Zeev Neuwirth
Dr. Neuwirth was appointed Senior Medical Director of Population Health for the Carolinas Healthcare System (CHS) in November 2016. In this newly created position within CHS, he serves as the senior most physician responsible for advancing the system’s value focused strategies and transitioning the delivery system toward a consumer-oriented, value based model of care. Prior to this appointment, Dr. Neuwirth served as the Senior Medical Director for Primary Care Services within CHS, which proactively provides primary medical care to over 1.1 million patients, and serves a community of over 2 million people in the greater Charlotte area. He was responsible for leading the redesign of the Primary Care ecosystem at CHS and also served as an executive leader in Population Health, Care Management, Retail Care & Virtual Medicine.
